The two discuss the unique role a poet laureate plays and why poetry is important. Dombrowski also discusses her own work and reads one of her poems. When not writing poetry, the poet laureate is a senior lecturer at ASU’s Downtown campus. She was chosen late last year to serve as the city’s first poet laureate by a panel of literary experts and other local arts and culture leaders.
