Councilwoman Laura Pastor’s Statement on Today’s Latino Cultural Center Vote
Councilwoman Laura Pastor’s Statement on Today’s Latino Cultural Center Vote

"It was a unanimous vote for the Latino Cultural Center. There's the possibility of the North building on Margaret T. Hance Park or another location. In addition, we voted for a RFP to select a capital campaign consultant to assist in the financial planning of the Latino Cultural Center.

The City of Phoenix's Latino arts and culture community is rich, vibrant and ever evolving. This center will be a home for more than just art. It will encompass story-telling, cultural foods, music, programs and festivals. Today's vote is a vital step in the 18-year process to provide our City with the long-overdue Cultural Center it deserves.

I would like to thank Councilman Nowakowski, former Mayor Williams, Mayor Gallego and Council for making history."

Learn more about the Latino Cultural Center: Phoenix.gov/arts/latinoculturalcenter
