Councilman Daniel Valenzuela Recognized for Entrepreneurial Leadership by Greater Phoenix Chamber of CommerceCouncilman Daniel Valenzuela Recognized for Entrepreneurial Leadership by Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce<div class="ExternalClass753F4A731EC04E29A3E0F685F3DDDA9A"><table cellspacing="0" width="100%" class="ms-rteTable-default"><tbody><tr><td class="ms-rteTable-default" style="width:100%;"><p>Phoenix City Councilman Daniel Valenzuela has been honored with the 2017 Sentinel Award by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce for his leadership on the City Council to help Phoenix build momentum as an epicenter for entrepreneurship.</p><p>The Sentinel Award, part of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce IMPACT Award series, recognizes elected officials for their willingness to champion efforts that ensure Arizona's business climate.</p><p>Councilman Valenzuela began his tenure on the Council in January 2012.  He proudly represents District 5, which includes west and central Phoenix.  He currently chairs the Phoenix Downtown, Aviation, Economy and Innovation Subcommittee. Last year he was appointed to the National League of Cities 2017 Community and Economic Development federal advocacy committee.</p><p>"Government can play a strong role supporting business if elected officials choose to lead by aligning public policy goals with economic development opportunities," said Councilman Valenzuela.
