Cybercrime is a six-trillion-dollar enterprise. One in three people gets hacked in the U.S. with four-million records stolen each day by cybercriminals. Half of the targets are small businesses.</p><p>On this segment of #yesphx, Councilman Daniel Valenzuela speaks with Dr. Heather Monthie, Assistant Dean of Science, Engineering, and Technology at GCU and David Hernandez of the Arizona Cyber Warfare Range. GCU is partnering with the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center to provide a free public place for education and cyber intelligence with the goal to change the cybersecurity industry for the better.</p><p>A team of 60 volunteers is available to help those interested in protecting themselves from cyber attacks. The 4,500-square foot range is located in GCU's Innovation Center at 27<sup>th</sup> Avenue and Camelback.  The range is stocked with laptops, servers and other equipment. Cybersecurity experts will be onsite to offer practical training in cracking passwords, cloning keycards and breaking into computer systems.</p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/_smgRIwfkts">The show is viewable online via the city's YouTube</a>.
