Warren Peterson is leading an effort to introduce legislation in the upcoming session that will hold public service employees accountable for the misuse of taxpayer dollars. Rep. Peterson stated, “Public employees who misappropriated taxpayer dollars should not be rewarded with lavish payouts for their malfeasance.  This clear lack of accountability is an insult to the taxpayer.  It's time we create a deterrent for such abuse.”<br><br>Along with Rep. Peterson, Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, who has introduced a corruption investigation against a transit agency official, is also leading the charge, “Government employees who get caught cheating, stealing, and committing fraud should not be receiving one dime of money off the backs of hardworking taxpayers."<br><br>"This law will stop future Stephen Banta’s of the world and I am glad to be a part of legislation that will fix this problem.”<br><br>At 10:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 14, Rep.
