Today, this Council voted to feather the nest of a top level person accused of much worse. Banta is accused of taking over $272,000 of taxpayer monies and instead of demanding that he return every penny, he is now being rewarded with a $180,000 payout. This is clearly an example of protecting those at the top," Phoenix Councilman Sal DiCiccio said. "Valley Metro and now the City of Phoenix are condoning and rewarding his bad behavior.
