Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio Calls for David Stringer to ResignPhoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio Calls for David Stringer to Resign

"There is no place for white supremacy in the Republican Party, and any attempts to explain away or otherwise excuse David Stringer's words and conduct only serve to embolden the forces of evil. Yesterday, we had an incident at Camelback High School where someone drew swastikas in one of the stairwells. I truly believe these incidents are related, not directly, but culturally. Allowing our leaders to espouse intolerance and racial hatred gives permission of a sort for others to follow.

As an immigrant whose grandparents experienced firsthand the horrors of Nazi occupation and passed those lessons down through our family, I am incredibly sensitive to the dangers of dehumanizing people based on their color, ethnicity, or creed. The Republican Party is and must continue to be a sanctuary for all peoples to embrace conservative principles of opportunity, freedom, and free enterprise unfettered by intrusive government. It is not and must never be a home for people who would view others through a narrow lens of racial animosity.

Therefore, I am hereby adding my voice to others who have called for Representative David Stringer to immediately resign his position in the Arizona Legislature."

12/5/2018 6:40:00 PMNick Valenzuela 602-495-5405
