Councilmen DiCiccio and Nowakowski Salute Earnhardt Lexus and the Earnhardt Family for Outstanding Contributions to Phoenix and the Camelback East VillageCouncilmen DiCiccio and Nowakowski Salute Earnhardt Lexus and the Earnhardt Family for Outstanding Contributions to Phoenix and the Camelback East Village<div class="ExternalClass2475BB9E325A4F2E83F4C42109B3F847"><p style="text-align:center;">​<img src="/district6site/MediaAssets/Earnhardt.jpg" alt="Picture of Councilmen and Earnhardt Family " style="margin:5px;width:700px;height:489px;" /><br></p><p>PHOENIX – Councilman Sal DiCiccio, Councilman Michael Nowakowski, representatives of the City of Phoenix Planning Department, and Camelback East Village Planning Committee members were pleased to honor Tex Earnhardt, the Earnhardt family, and the entire staff at Earnhardt Lexus with a plaque commemorating the outstanding contributions they have made to the City of Phoenix and Camelback East Village.<br></p><p>Councilman DiCiccio spoke about the incredible transformation of the area around Earnhardt Lexus since the Earnhardt family stepped up to relocate their dealership from Scottsdale, and the incredibly positive impact they have made on Phoenix. “Before they ever sold a car, Earnhardt invested millions upon millions of dollars in the City of Phoenix. And people forget what a risk it was – no one else was stepping up to do this kind of thing here, and now this area is growing tremendously, with huge new investments all up and down the Camelback corridor." </p><p>DiCiccio and Nowakowski both continued to applaud the commitment Earnhardt Lexus and the Earnhardt family have made to the local community and their many charitable efforts.</p><p>“Every year when we have the (Veteran's Day) Parade here, they clear all the cars off the front of their lot so people who want to watch the parade have a place to park, and they even serve water and lemonade to folks, but that's just the tip of the iceberg," said Nowakowski, while also taking note of the $240,000 Earnhardt recently donated to Phoenix Children's Hospital.</p><p>“Earnhardt Lexus and the Earnhardt family are the embodiment of the American dream, not only for the success they've had but for their ability to positively impact the lives of so many others," said Councilman DiCiccio. “They've created over 100 good-paying jobs, transformed a once-blighted streetscape, and continue to work to improve the lives of everyone around them." ​<br></p><p><br></p></div>5/1/2019 11:20:00 PMNick Valenzuela602-495-5405
