Surveillance video of the attack shows that our officers' quick and professional response prevented even greater tragedy. The three officers – a sergeant with 18 years of experience, an officer with eight years in and the third a rookie on the streets for the first time – demonstrated that our police training is preparing our officers for the dangers they face every day. I wish each officer a fast recovery and extend my thoughts and prayers to them and their families."

Councilman Nowakowski is the chair of the City Council's Public Safety and Veterans Subcommittee.

9/13/2016 11:00:00 PMDavid Urbinato602-495-5405
