Statement from Councilman Michael Nowakowski on Phoenix Starting Innovative Plastic Recycling Partnership Statement from Councilman Michael Nowakowski on Phoenix Starting Innovative Plastic Recycling Partnership

“I am proud to announce, this afternoon the Phoenix City Council approved a new, innovative contract with Renew Phoenix to turn plastics headed to the landfill into fuel. This new program will divert low-value plastics from the landfill and reprocess them into fuel at the City's Resource Innovation Campus, located in District 7. This a perfect example of the Team Phoenix approach, where the City and business community come together to create a public-private partnership to build the City's circular economy. This new venture will benefit all residents and businesses while encouraging others to bring next-generation technology to the City of Phoenix to help us create a more sustainable and healthier planet for our children."

4/3/2019 10:30:00 PMNick Valenzuela602-495-5405
