Councilman Michael Nowakowski’s Statement on Vote to Raise Minimum Wage to $15 for City of Phoenix EmployeesCouncilman Michael Nowakowski’s Statement on Vote to Raise Minimum Wage to $15 for City of Phoenix Employees

“This afternoon, my colleagues and I on the Phoenix City Council proudly voted to establish a minimum hiring wage of $15 per hour for all full-time City of Phoenix employees, effective May 2019. Currently, 153 hardworking, full-time employees who serve our community every day such as park groundskeepers, solid waste workers, youth counselors, police aides, and more will be positively impacted by this change. This is a step in the right direction in ensuring we offer our employees proper livable wages. To be the best city we can, we must not only provide the best services for our community but also pay our employees fair living wages for the work they do."

4/3/2019 11:00:00 PMNick Valenzuela602-495-5405
