Councilwoman Kate Gallego Applauds Council Approval of Extended Bus Route 32Councilwoman Kate Gallego Applauds Council Approval of Extended Bus Route 32<div class="ExternalClass6B16F090D59E4F99962CC39C872A2449"><p>​The Phoenix City Council recently approved extending Bus Route 32 (32nd Street) by more than 7.5 miles from 44th and Washington streets, south to Baseline Road and 48th Street, and with the partnership of the city of Tempe, on to Baseline Road and Priest Drive, adjacent to Arizona Mills.</p><p>"Once again, Phoenix is improving local bus service thanks to the voter-approved Phoenix Transportation 2050 (T2050) plan," said Councilwoman Kate Gallego. "By extending this route we are delivering on our promise to connect those neighborhoods with limited access to public transit to the opportunities our city and region provide." </p><p>Beginning in April, this route extension creates a one-seat transit ride to a major retail destination for the many residents along the existing, and soon-to-be expanded Route 32.</p><p>This is not the first time T2050 has improved transit in this area.
