Statement from Councilwoman Kate Gallego Concerning Monsoon Storm Preparedness and Resources for ResidentsStatement from Councilwoman Kate Gallego Concerning Monsoon Storm Preparedness and Resources for Residents

"Yesterday marked Phoenix's first major monsoon storm of the season. I joined our emergency response management last night to visit households impacted by the storm, and with more rain in the forecast I want to share some important resources with residents we were not able to reach. Thanks to the collaboration of numerous city departments and Maricopa County, we have put together an inventory of resources to help residents before, during and after the storm.

For monsoon safety information and tips on keeping your family and home safe, please review the Summer Monsoon Safety resources. This site also connects residents to organizations that provide critical resources in the storm's aftermath.

In addition, also visit the Maricopa County Flood Control District to receive important alerts to stay informed before, during, and after the storm. Thank you to Supervisor Steve Gallardo for working with our office on recovery and flood control efforts."

7/11/2018 12:00:00 AMNick Valenzuela 602-495-5405
