And the Winners Are...And the Winners Are...<div class="ExternalClass0E22BFEDEC704ED1936174D91071EA94"><table cellspacing="0" width="100%" class="ms-rteTable-default"><tbody><tr><td class="ms-rteTable-default" style="width:100%;"><p>Close to 20 Phoenix school kids are celebrating today as they were selected from dozens of applicants as this year's Outstanding Young Men / Young Women of the year. This is the 30<sup>th</sup> year that the city of Phoenix has offered this award, now in collaboration with the Phoenix Rotary 100 and Soroptimist International of Phoenix.</p><p>Each student applied for the award by submitting an application, essay, recommendations, and taking part in interviews with panelists.  The purpose of the award is to recognize the achievements made by these young adults and provide some funding to help continue their pursuit for higher education. Each district winner receives $500 and is now eligible to become the overall winner.  The overall winners receive an additional $500 and recognition with all the winners at an upcoming awards reception.
