Having only been with the city for less than three years, Arvay has led the Information Technology Services Department in <a href="https://statescoop.com/phoenix-cio-says-citys-phone-upgrade-includes-enough-cable-to-reach-las-vegas/">modernizing the city’s foundational infrastructure </a>by replacing the organization’s network that supports more than 12,000 telephones across 500 city locations, connected by approximately 300 miles of cables. </div><div><br></div><div>“Matt has worked tirelessly since coming to the city to find creative solutions to an ever-increasing demand from residents and employees to make smart use of technology to solve big problems,” noted Phoenix City Manager Ed Zuercher. “Good, coordinated use of technology is key to government transparency and access, and is a foundation of our success.” </div><div><br></div><div>The 2020 Business Transformation 150 identifies the world’s most influential executives across a variety of industries, including Arvay. Nominations from peers, industry influencers, technology vendors and analysts powered the six-month selection process.
