Eight Parks Get New Basketball Courts Thanks to Phoenix Suns Charities GrantEight Parks Get New Basketball Courts Thanks to Phoenix Suns Charities Grant<div class="ExternalClass35AE2E09D5EA44A99CB7D9D362A86A44"><p>​To commemorate the Phoenix Suns' 50th season in the Valley, Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver and Phoenix Suns Charities awarded a $1 million grant to refurbish, restore and build 50 basketball courts throughout the state of Arizona. Eight of the courts selected to be refurbished during the Suns' 2017-18 season are located in city of Phoenix parks. </p><p>The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate the grand re-opening of these courts in the coming weeks. Those events will include basketball oriented games and activities for youth, prize giveaways, and appearances by The Gorilla, Suns Dancers, Solar Squad and other special guests.<br></p><p><strong>Schedule of Basketball Court Grand Re-opening Celebrations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Cortez Park, 3434 W.
