APS Electric Light Parade Honored with Partnership AwardAPS Electric Light Parade Honored with Partnership Award<div class="ExternalClass271C3DC3C5914A918CDA4B0151BA80F0"><p>​The city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department and Arizona Public Service (APS) is the recipient of the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association's (APRA) 2018 Partnership Award for their work producing the <a href="/parks/elp">APS Electric Light Parade</a>. APRA's annual awards ceremony was held on Wednesday at Westin Kierland Resort.<br></p><p>APRA's Partnership Award recognizes the collaborations of public/private groups or agencies that have made significant contributions to the field of parks, recreation, and/or cultural services.<br></p><p>For 31 years, the parade has taken to the streets of central Phoenix on the first Saturday of December. It is a free event where families, neighborhood groups and businesses from around the city come together to celebrate the joy of the holiday season. Hundreds of thousands of spectators line the parade route every year.
