City of Phoenix Installs Rainbow-Painted CrosswalksCity of Phoenix Installs Rainbow-Painted Crosswalks<div class="ExternalClass8F264D67AB1745F089FFC087DF417077"><p><img src="/streetssite/MediaAssets/RC.JPG" alt="" style="margin:5px;width:222px;height:333px;vertical-align:auto;float:right;" />The city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department today installed rainbow-painted crosswalks across Central and First avenues at Portland Street and Seventh Avenue at Glenrosa Avenue.</p><p>In April 2018 the Phoenix City Council approved the application of rainbow paint for these two crosswalk locations in support of the L.G.B.T.Q. community. </p><p>Phoenix Pride Community Foundation and one-n-ten are funding the materials, installation and on-going maintenance for the two rainbow-painted crosswalks. </p><p>Drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists are reminded to follow the same basic rules for crossing the street at these crosswalks.
