A 2024 Climate Action Plan Progress Report will be available soon detailing actions and progress since the 2021 Climate Action Plan was approved by city council. This report will provide an interim update of near-term actions and mid-and long-term actions. A full update to the Climate Action Plan including emissions modeling, and additional community engagement is expected after completion of the 2022 greenhouse gas emissions inventory.
The City of Phoenix is updating its Climate Action Plan during 2023, which will continue to serve as a long-term plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from local operations and community activities as well as prepare for the impacts of climate change.
Climate Action Plan Update Public Webinars
The City of Phoenix hosted public webinars in spring 2023 providing information on the update process. These webinars provided an overview of some actions undertaken since the approval of the original plan in 2021. The city will hold in depth workshops for the update during the fall of 2023.
