Junior Golf Program:
Phoenix Golf offers affordable golf lessons year-round to Phoenix area youth, ages five to 17 at five Phoenix Municipal Golf Courses. Itty Bitty classes are offered for 5-7 year olds and Beginner through Advanced classes is offered to youth 8-17. PGA/LPGA professionals teach all of the classes, which are typically about one month in length. To register, individuals should visit or contact the golf course in which they would like to play. Golf classes are halted in the Fall to accommodate overseeding of the practice tees with winter grass.
First Tee Junior Golf Program through Phoenix Golf:
Phoenix Golf is now offering the First Tee Program at all of our courses. The First Tee's Mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instil life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Programming is offered for youth ages 7 - 17. There is an annual membership fee of $60 and the membership is valid for 1 year from sign up date. You can register at any of our golf courses. Levels of Instruction:
Six,1-hour classes of instruction introducing the basic fundamentals of golf to 5-7 year olds.
Six 1-hour classes of instruction covering the basic fundamentals of golf with an emphasis on etiquette.
Six,1-hour classes of instruction. This program requires certificate of advancement of the Introduction to Golf (Beginner) and covers course play, scoring, etiquette and course management.
Six 1-hour classes of instruction. This program requires completion and certification of the Intermediate Golf Lesson and covers on-course strategy, etiquette and rules.
Six 2-hour classes of on-course instruction. This program is for Junior Golfers ages 13-17, with playing experience, who want to improve their swing, course management and playing skills.
*Equipment is provided for the student during the lesson if requested.
