A training class from the Planning & Development Department is required prior to approval as a self-certified professional. All classes will be at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., in the first floor assembly rooms.

Please register as early as possible to confirm your place in the class. Classes are scheduled three times per year; January, May and September. Class size is limited to 20 for all classes. Unless a minimum number of registrations is received (10 for Building, 5 each for Landscape and Civil classes), the class will be cancelled and registrants will be registered for the next available class pending confirmation. When the maximum limit is reached, registration will be accepted and placed on a waiting list for the next class pending cancellations on a first-come, first-served basis.
Payment is not required for registration, but must be received by the date listed above. Additional registrations from the same firm are charged half rate. To make a payment by check, mail your check and a copy of your registration submittal to Planning & Development Department, Attn: Zoe Harrington, 200 W. Washington St., 3rd Floor, Phoenix, Arizona 85003.
To pay by credit card, use the Self Certification Credit Card Authorization Form (PDF) and follow the instructions at the top of the form to fax, mail or call in your information. The fax machine is dedicated and secure. Note: if you are mailing your payment via the postal service, please allow at least one additional week for internal sorting.
