How do I recycle my old appliances​?

You can take your appliances to either of the city's two transfer stations or to a city-sponsored Household Hazardous Waste collection event.​​

How much does this service cost?

 Recycling Fees

​Residents can request curbside appliance pick-up and recycling services by contacting  the Public Works Custome Care at 602-262-7251 or by email at  If a resident requests a pick-up, resident will: 

  • ​Put no more than five appliances in front of property just behind the sidewalk or behind the curb if there's no sidewalk
  • Not place appliances in the alley or in garage/carport
  • Secure doors with tape as a safety precaution and/or remove doors
  • Remove any water/food from appliances; the items must be empty

How much will a curbside pick-up cost?​

  • ​​​Refrigerator and other home appliances with coolant, such as refrigerant or Freon ks a $20 charge for EACH home appliance
  • All other appliances will be a $20 charge, up to 5 items
  • If the residents forgets to cancel a pick-up  24 hours prior to the schdeuled service, $20 will be billed to their account
Charges will appear on the resident's city services bill on the next billing cycle.
