Opt-out of Mailing Lists

Junk mail and phone books are recyclable materials and can be placed in your blue recycle bin when you no longer need them. What's equally important as recycling your junk mail is reducing the amount of junk mail you receive.

You can reduce the amount of junk mail and phone books you receive by opting out of receiving these materials. Below are links to opt-out of the following:

Tips to Reducing Mail

  • Turn your Yellow Pages "Green" The yellow pages are great, if you use them.  But if you’ve made the transition to on-line directory assistance, you can stop delivery of the phone book to your home or business.  If you still use the yellow pages, remember to toss them in the recycle bin when your new ones arrive.

  • Request that your personal information is not sold or traded. Without these requests, your information can be solicited to other companies which can result in more junk mail.

  • Opt-in for paperless options for bills. Most insurance, cable, internet and electricity companies offer paperless options for bills. Opt-in these programs to reduce the amount of mail.
