The Annual Bike to Work Day event is set to take place Wednesday, April 17, and you're invited to join in!
The event draws participants from area businesses and is presented by Maricopa County with support from the city of Phoenix to highlight the benefits of bicycle commuting. As part of the event, county and city elected officials will host a four-mile bicycle ride through the Willo and Roosevelt historical neighborhoods. The bicycle ride will start at Park Central and end at CityScape, in downtown Phoenix, where community volunteers will be on hand to promote bicycle safety and commuting, health and fitness. Participants may choose to ride with the group from Park Central to CityScape on Wednesday morning, or to ride directly to CityScape.
Participants who register for the group ride or solo ride by April 12 will receive a light breakfast at CityScape, a Valley Metro t-shirt and be eligible to win great prizes.
Everyone is invited to visit CityScape to learn more about the growing national bicycle commuting movement, cheer on the riders and support the bicycle community.
Bike to Work Day is a signature event of Valley Bike Month. Visit the Valley Bike Month webpage for a listing of bicycle-friendly activities and resources.
