​Extreme Heat Safety Tips

Thank you Adopt-A-Street program volunteers for keeping Phoenix’s streets clean and beautiful. Your volunteerism is greatly appreciated.

Remember to stay safe in the summer heat.

• When performing your Adopt-A-Street cleanups, please be mindful that the heat can bring out many different kind of snakes and insects that love to hide in shaded areas such as under rocks, behind bushes, and in small holes dug in the ground.
• Always stay hydrated, wear loose and light clothing, wear the appropriate skin protection.
• Let someone know where you are going and when you should return. Keep phone charged and always stay alert.
• If you See something - Say something.
