Gasowski worked with dozens of students from the seven schools to create the ceramic tiles embedded in the sculpture’s columns. The project title (“our town,” in Spanish) refers to the work of renowned folk artist/architect Simon Rodia, who created the Watts Towers.​ This page is a record of the sculpture which was deaccessioned​ in 2023 due to materials being compromised by age and the elements.
