February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month​

The Strategic Initiatives team works closely with youth serving organizations and local high schools to provide education and awareness on all of the campaigns and initiatives. 

We engage our youth throughout the year by conducting presentations on teen dating violence, healthy relationships, social media safety, sex trafficking and consent, coordinating resource fairs and sponsoring awareness-themed sporting events and contests.

Youth​​ and Education Workgroup

The Youth Education and Awareness Workgroup consists of more than 75 individuals representing various City departments, community organizations, and schools. For more information about healthy relationships, personal safety and supporting others, click here

Strategic Initiatives has partnered with One Love Foundation to educate young people about healthy and unhealthy relationship, empowering them to recognize unhealthy behaviors and learn how to love better. We are now scheduling in-person and virtual healthy relationship presentations throughout the year. Presentations are available for both youth and adults. Cli​ck here​ for a list of presentations currently being offered.
