32nd Street Bicycle Lanes Project

The 32nd Street Bicycle Lanes Project entails the addition of bicycle lanes on 32nd Street from Harford Avenue, just north of Bell Road, to Cheryl Drive, just south of Shea Boulevard, to provide bicycle connectivity in the area.

To accommodate the new bicycle lanes, one northbound travel lane will be removed from 32nd Street between Shea Boulevard and Hartford Avenue. The final stripping configuration for 32nd Street will include bicycle lanes on both sides of the street and one travel lane per direction.

The construction related activity for this project is now underway and scheduled to be completed by late summer. As part of the project, the roadway will be treated with micro seal and re-stripped. Micro seal extends pavement life and provides a fast dry time to ensure the roadway is quickly usable. Bicycle signage will also be installed along this corridor.
