You can start residential water service online using the form below or in person at one of our Pay Stations.

A copy of your ownership papers or lease may be required for documentation purposes.

A non-refundable Account Activation Fee of $33 + tax will be charged for the setup of all accounts. The account activation fee will appear on your first month's bill. An additional deposit may be required based on your previous payment history with the City of Phoenix Water Services Department.

When opening an account, please do so at least one working day before you want the service activated.

Your water may be turned on at any time during the day per your requested start date. Please be aware of the risk of damage to personal property if any faucets are on at the time water is delivered. Please ensure all faucets are turned off.

Stop Service

You can permanently stop (cancel) residential water service online using the form below or in person at one of our Pay Stations.

Temporary Water Turn-Off

To get your water turned off temporarily (then turned back on), please contact the Water Services Customer Services Division, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding city holidays, at 602-262-6251.

Transfer Service Within the City of Phoenix

You can transfer your residential water service online using the form below or in person at one of our Pay Stations.

A non-refundable account activation fee of $33 plus tax fee will be charged for the setup of all accounts The account activation fee will appear on your first month's bill at the new location.

If you presently have a deposit on your account, the deposit will be transferred to your new address. Any amount presently owed at your current address plus water usage up to the date service will be transferred to your new address.
