    Meet the supervisor

Director of Visitor Engagement Sarah Matchette

I have been in love with museums since I was in high school, and I have my Master's in Museum Studies. My focus has been primarily in education, program development, and visitor services. Crafting a memorable, comfortable, and exciting experience is one of my top priorities, and I want staff, volunteers, and visitors alike to be enthusiastic about what we do.

I am new to being a supervisor, but I want anyone I lead to feel comfortable and empowered while we grow together. I believe in being clear with any direction and expectations at the beginning to relieve any potential anxiety and confusion- everyone will know where they are and how their work impacts the organization and the community. I want to embrace creativity and the expertise of everyone involved in this project- there are many ways to do things, and I hope we can discover things that are new along the way. I also want anyone who works with us to feel safe, and know that no hate or intolerance will be tolerated in any form. This is a position that will do a lot of good for our community, and we are excited to get started!
