Get Involved! Grant Funds are Available to add more trees and shade in Phoenix. We are looking to fund projects in neighborhoods with low tree and shade coverage throughout the City. 

As part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the City of Phoenix is offering two grant opportunities to increase tree and shade coverage in Phoenix. The grant programs are: Community Canopy and Canopy for Kids.

​The Office of Heat Response and Mitigation is developing a new Tree and Shade Plan to set program and policy direction that will impact health, quality of life, and economic vitality in Phoenix for many years into the future. The department launched a questionnaire seeking input from residents to ensure that the new plan best reflects the needs and values of the community. The questionnaire is completely anonymous.​

​La Oficina de Mitigación y Respuesta al Calor está desarrollando un nuevo plan de árboles y sombra para establecer una dirección de programas y políticas que impactará la salud, la calidad de vida y la vitalidad económica en Phoenix durante muchos años en el futuro. El departamento lanzó un cuestionario solicitando la opinión de los residentes para garantizar que el nuevo plan refleje mejor las necesidades y valores de la comunidad.
