Pools

Swimming lessons are offered at all 29 Phoenix city pools. Online registration is scheduled to begin Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m., via the online registration page. Class schedules have been viewable online since Monday, May 4. Swimming lessons cost $15 for a two-week session. Semi-private lessons also are available on weekends at select pools for $45. Lessons are offered for all ages. Options also include swim, dive and water basketball teams.

In 2015, Phoenix city pools will be open Memorial Day Weekend (May 23 to 25, 2015) and May 30 to July 26. Pools are open daily, except Fridays. Pool hours for the 2015 season are 1 to 7 p.m. The following pools also will be open on weekends in August through Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7): Cortez, El Prado, Encanto, Falcon, Hermoso, Maryvale, Paradise Valley, Pecos, Perry, Sunnyslope and Washington.

Daily admission at city pools is $3 for adults, and $1 for children and seniors. A season pass for a family of four costs $75 ($7 for each additional family member), while an adult season pass is $30 and a child/senior pass is $20. Admission at the following 20 pool locations is free for children age 17 and younger through the Kool Kids program: Alkire, Cielito, Coronado, Eastlake, El Prado, Encanto, Falcon, Grant, Harmon, Hermoso, Holiday, Madison, Marivue, Maryvale, Perry, Pierce, Roosevelt, Starlight, University and Washington.
