The Equal Opportunity Department conducts free quarterly certification workshops for small and disadvantaged business owners interested in doing business with Phoenix. Workshops are held at Phoenix City Hall Assembly Room B, 200 West Washington St.

Certification ensures that small business owners have an equal economic opportunity to participate in city business projects. The department hosts the instructional sessions to provide information about the requirements, process and benefits of becoming certified.
