​​Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC)​

Due to COVID-19, registration for Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC) has been postponed.
 

PAC staff is working with its partner schools regarding plans for the fall 2020 schedule.

Staff is monitoring all health and safety protocols, and will work with the program's partner schools to make necessary adjustments. This may include reducing capacity at PAC sites based upon the availability of facilities, physical distancing standards and safe staff-to-participant ratios.

Please follow this webpage for information about the date when registration will begin. Registration will continue to be on a first-come, first-served basis and a waitlist will still be available.​

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department's Phoenix Afterschool Center (PAC) is a fun, supportive and educational place for children ages 6 to 13 to spend afterschool hours.

PAC is offered at school sites throughout the city. Experienced recreation staff lead structured and age-appropriate activities.

Homework Help

On a daily basis, children will have a dedicated time to complete homework assignments with assistance from PAC staff.

Educational Enrichment

Book Blast – Books are provided for all levels of readers to enjoy once homework is completed.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) – Twice a month, participants will engage in fun, interesting and hands-on STEM projects.

Guest Presenters

Enrichment presentations are given by a variety of kid-friendly partners.

Physical Fitness

Organized games, sports and activities designed to promote health and wellness. Additionally, children are provided weekly nutrition workshops that educate about the importance of healthy eating.

Socialize

Supervised free time where kids can play, socialize and develop important interaction skills.

Arts and Creativity

Children will have the opportunity to expand their creative abilities through a variety of staff-guided projects.
