Artist Ed Carpenter worked with engineer Jerry Cannon to design a pedestrian bridge in the form of two grasshoppers. The legs of the grasshoppers serve as structural supports. Animal and insect images created by students at Mountain Sky Junior High School were sandblasted onto the deck walkway. The bridge provides a safe crossing of the wash between Mountain Sky Junior High and Moon Valley Park.​
