Important Information Regarding Member Statements

2016 member statements were sent to all members in March 2016.  Due to a printing error, the dates on the reverse side of the statement are incorrect.  All information is accurate as of 12/31/2016, not 12/31/2015 as printed.  If you have any questions, please contact Retirement at (602) 534-4400. 


Reminder Regarding Retirement Dates

Effective January 1, 2016 employees wishing to retire are required to file their Application for Retirement with COPERS 14 or 30 calendar days prior to the date of retirement.  
  • ​Rule of 80 or 87 - 14 calendar days
  • Age 60 w/10 years - 30 calendar days
  • Age 62 w/5 years - 30 calendar days
