My address is not in Phoenix so why did I get a summons?
Some addresses are physically within the City of Phoenix boundaries, but because of overlapping Zip Codes show a different city address such as Scottsdale or Tolleson. Additionally, if you are eligible to vote in City of Phoenix elections, pay for City of Phoenix services (i.e. water, trash pick-up, etc) and/or live in areas that share a boundary with Phoenix (i.e. Glendale, Cave Creek, New River, Anthem Desert Hills, Laveen and some unincorporated areas of Maricopa County) you are eligible to serve as a juror at Phoenix Municipal Court.

If I no longer live in Phoenix, what should I do?
Send in your Juror Affidavit Questionnaire indicating your new address in the change of information box.

How often is jury duty?
If you are selected to serve on a jury trial, you will not be summoned to serve again for 24 months. If you are not selected to serve on a jury trial, you will not be summoned to serve again for 18 months, with the exception of Federal Court. Only jurors that serve on a trial are exempt for two years from Federal Court. If you receive a summons within these time frames you should send in the Juror Affidavit Questionnaire indicating the date of your previous appearance.
