The Office of Public Health was established in October 2022, with the hiring of the City's first Public Health Advisor. The role of the office includes providing public health policy and program advice and assistance across several City functions. The office will carry out the direction of the City Manager and advise public health policy decisions of the City Council. The Office of Public Health is dedicated to evidence-based public health approaches to inform and implement public health practice.
