The City of Phoenix has applied for $10,000,000 in grant funding to further the efforts of the Housing Phoenix Plan and address significant barriers to housing production and preservation. If awarded, funds will be utilized to provide assistance to offset the permit and plan review fees associated with developing affordable housing.
Background
HUD issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for $85 million in competitive grant funding for the identification and removal of barriers to affordable housing production and preservation on September 6, 2023. Applications for funding were accepted until November 6, 2023.
Award announcements are expected in late 2023. If awarded, this page will be updated with further information on the City’s grant activities.
Meeting Details
A public meeting to review the draft application was held on October 24, 2023. Additionally, public comments were accepted from October 10, 2023 through October 26, 2023.
