Phoenix Food Day CelebrationPhoenix Food Day Celebration<div class="ExternalClass1F04B3DA863B4BA8BBFF0267A67A5C78"><p><strong>Learn About Healthy Cooking, Growing Food and Keeping Fit</strong></p><p>The city of Phoenix invites residents to attend this year's free Phoenix Food Day celebration, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Cartwright Community Garden, 51<sup>st</sup> and Glenrosa avenues.  The family-friendly event is presented by the Cartwright School District, the Milwaukee Brewers, the Maricopa County Food System Coalition, Valley of the Sun United Way and Vitalyst Health Foundation, and is all about food, health, fun and fitness.</p><p>Phoenix Food Day offers the public education on healthy eating and nutrition, cooking demonstrations (and free samples) with Valley chefs, gardening tips with seed and plant giveaways, a special farmer's market event, live music, and a Healthy Kids Zone with games and prizes! </p><p>At noon, join the Fry's, FiTPHX Apple Crunch to set a record for the most apples crunched at once!
