The Globe-Miami Mining District from Prospect to ProducerThe Globe-Miami Mining District from Prospect to Producer<div class="ExternalClass72DD591ACDA54260881EF2CD9B0074A8">The Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary invites you to discover the rich and complex history of the Arizona mining towns of Globe and Miami with a presentation The Globe-Miami Mining District from Prospect to Producer, by Jay Spehar, Mining Historian, on February 6, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Pueblo Grande Museum.<br> <br>Spehar will discuss the evolution of the mining district from its formative era to its current operations. Get to know some of the companies that have operated in the district and how they impacted the economics and environment of the towns. Learn about the various technologies used for mining as well as the history of management and labor of the mining industries in the area. Spehar will also share information on ore bodies from this area of Arizona.<br> <br>This event is free and open to the public made possible by the Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary, the charitable support group of the Pueblo Grande Museum. The Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary hosts a free lecture series on the first Wednesday of every month from October through June on a variety of topics from archaeology, local history, Southwest cultures and more.
