Finding a Unit

​​​​​​For the Section 8 Program, the participant must identify a unit in the city of Phoenix. In order to confirm that the unit will be eligible for the program,  the water provider must be the city of Phoenix Water Department.

Since the city of Phoenix does not provide a listing of participating landlords and units, it is up to the tenant to find a unit to rent through all available resources. 
Here are different ways a Section 8 participant can find a unit:

• Rental service companies such as Apartment Finders
• The classified section of the newspaper
• Referrals by friends or family
  
• Property management companies
• Internet websites such as HousingSearch.AZ.gov
