The City of Phoenix Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program provides housing for more than 7,000 households in Phoenix. When a family wishes to receive assistance, the family must submit an application when the waiting list lottery is open.
PLEASE NOTE: The Phoenix HCV program waiting list is currently closed. The City of Phoenix will provide notice through a wide variety of sources when it reopens to advertise the opportunity to join the waiting list. For current HCV participants, when searching for and selecting a unit in the private market, consider what will meet your and your family's needs. Look for available rental housing using a variety of outlets such as housingsearch.az.gov, the local newspaper, online rental sites, and other community outlets, including neighbors and friends.
