The Pecos Community Center, located in the city park of the same name, boasts more than 38,000 square feet of space and a wide range of sports and general interest classes and programs. Pecos Park is a large regional park that features a skate park, swimming pool, dog park and several athletic fields. Pecos Community Center has a full-size gymnasium with open basketball and volleyball, and a fitness room with aerobic, weights and resistance machines (memberships are $50 for one year, $30 for six months or $3 per day); a dance room, game room with air hockey, pool table, foosball and large-screen television, classrooms and multi-purpose rooms, available for rent. The center also houses a Phoenix Police Department substation.
Youth classes include dance, performing and visual arts, parent/tot sports, tumbling, cheer and much more. The center also offers youth sports leagues and instructional clinics. Adults can choose from a variety of fitness and dance classes, and a variety of general interest classes.
