Smith Park Recreation Center

Hours: August through May Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and in June and July Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Through a partnership with area non profit Downtown Urban Community Kids (DUCKs), the center is now open for the community. More information on DUCKs is available on the organization website .  Smith Park Recreation Center amenities include: foosball, pool, video and table games. Park amenities include Steve Finley Field of Dreams for youth baseball, basketball courts, playground area and a multi-use field area.

South Mountain Community Center
212 East Alta Vista Rd.
Hours: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday and holidays - closed. Multigenerational Facility that focuses on youth, teen, adult and senior services and programs as well as community special events.  South Mountain offers a vast variety of organized sports for youth to adult participants and houses a gymnasium, game room, auditorium, and classrooms.           

South Phoenix Youth Center

Hours: Monday through Friday 2:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Closed weekends and holidays.
The South Phoenix Youth Center primarily focuses on teen activities and offers open recreation programs. This recreation facility has a full sized basketball court, a full sized sand volleyball court, open play area, grill, ramada and a recreation building which houses a stage, game room, restrooms, dance room and classrooms. Staff also offer visual and performing arts programs.

The Sunnyslope Youth Center offers classes on Hip Hop, Break Dancing, Ballet Folklorico, and mural arts.  The center also is connected to the newly dedicated Winifred Green Park.  This recreation park has a full sized basketball court, two playground structures and an open play field.
