PHXHousing Connect Program

The PHXHousing Connect Program, launched in May 2020 by the City of Phoenix Housing Department, is a comprehensive digital inclusion initiative designed to close the digital divide for residents of affordable and senior housing. Created in response to urgent technology access issues highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program builds upon the City’s involvement in HUD’s ConnectHomeUSA (CHUSA) initiative, of which Phoenix has been a community since 2017. Its three-pillar strategy focuses on providing free digital devices, delivering high-speed internet connectivity, and offering digital literacy training along with personalized tech support.
