Celebrate Good Neighbor Day!

Every year on September 28, we join communities across the nation to celebrate National Good Neighbor Day, a day dedicated to building stronger, safer, and more connected neighborhoods.

Small, everyday actions help create welcoming streets and vibrant communities. We invite neighborhood associations, block watches, and residents citywide to celebrate with us and highlight what makes your neighborhood special.

There’s no one “right” way to celebrate National Good Neighbor Day! Your neighborhood’s personality can shine through however you choose. Consider activities like:

  • Hosting a neighborhood meet‑and‑greet or block party
  • Organizing a cleanup, beautification project, or mural painting
  • Sharing thank‑you notes or small gestures of appreciation with neighbors
  • Welcoming new residents with a simple greeting or introduction
  • Holding a park picnic, potluck, or family‑friendly activity

Whether your celebration is big or small, what matters most is building community and connection that you can rely on throughout the year.
