Central Avenue Lane Reconfiguration and Parking Expansion Washington Street to Monroe Street

The Street Transportation Department has been asked to explore adding public metered parking on Central Avenue from Washington Street to Monroe Street.

The project would add 17 metered spaces to the east side of Central Avenue and result in the removal of one travel lane, reconfiguring three travel lanes into two. This would impact about 750 feet of Central Avenue.

Project Highlights

  • Project perimeter: Central Avenue, from Washington Street to Monroe Street - about 750 feet of space
  • Proposal to remove one (1) northbound travel lane and add 17 metered parking spaces on the east side of Central Avenue
