North Valley Parkway & Sonoran Wash Bridge Improvements

The project is in the design phase and will widen North Valley Parkway and create a bridge crossing over the Sonoran Wash. The improvements include: additional travel lanes, bicycle lanes, sidewalks, street lighting and raised medians. The project will improve North Valley Parkway between Rancho Tierra Drive and Dixileta Drive.

Project Description

The Street Transportation Department is in the design phase of this project, which aims to increase capacity while also providing a safer, all-weather crossing over the Sonoran Wash. It will also feature:

  • Additional travel lanes,
  • Bike lanes,
  • Sidewalks,
  • Street lighting,
  • Raised medians, and a
  • Bridge over the Sonoran Wash

 

Timeline

Design projects require the team to study, map and design around infrastructure both above and below ground. 

Design Kickoff: January 2026, lasting for approximatly 36 months

Anticipated Construction Start: Summer 2029
