The Phoenix Youth Reach and Invest in Summer Employment (R.I.S.E.) program provides employment opportunities for youth, ages 16 to 24 years old, to learn the general aspects of working in a business during the summer months. This internship offers a pathway to building strong work ethics and making future connections.
Participating in R.I.S.E provides valuable insight into future career opportunities, work readiness training and helps create and build your future professional network.
Selected candidates must complete work readiness training prior to starting work. This work readiness training program will be held beginning June before the internship begins.
Eligible candidates will be entered into a random lottery to receive an offer for an employment assignment.
Internship timeframe: 20 hours per week
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be 16-24 years of age at time of application submittal.
- Must be a City of Phoenix resident.
- Must have legal right to work documentation in the United States.
- Available to work the entire length of the internship, beginning June 12 – ending July 7, 2023 (80 hours).
- Able to attend a mandatory orientation prior to the start of work.
- Reliable transportation to work site, regardless of proximity to residence (Bus is considered reliable transportation).
- Must submit a complete application in its entirety for consideration.
